In this peer learning and exchange, we’ll share our professional goals for 2021 and how they intersect with our communities and current social/ cultural trends. We will discuss how to make sure your goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound, as well as methods for tracking your progress. Lastly, you will gain an ally – your instructor – to help hold you accountable in the coming months.

Evening Discussion on Virtual Performance

LIVE Discussion & Problem-Solving Session

Grab your coffee mugs and wine glasses for a night of reflection and creative problem-solving. In this peer learning and exchange, we’ll discuss examples of theater, spoken word, and music “succeeding” and “surviving” virtually. We’ll also brainstorm solutions to overcome perceived limitations of transitioning live performing arts to the internet.

Learn the importance of a strong mission & vision statement and what a quality statement entails.

Even if you already have a mission & vision statement, this 2-part series is a great opportunity to revisit it and get critical feedback. You will receive tips, techniques, and constructive criticism to better express your goals in a way that engages your target audience. We will also briefly discuss how imagery, such as your head shot and/ or website layout, can reflect the themes within your mission and vision statement.

ARP workshops and webinars are free and accessible to ARP members and practicing artists who have requested support from Artist Relief Project.

ARP membership is available to practicing artists who are committed to pursuing a career in the arts and who have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. To request membership, please fill out the ARP Membership Application.
(Note: If you have requested financial support from Artist Relief Project in the past, you are already an ARP member.)

Our online workshops are live, interactive classes, during which you can ask questions and practice applying learned skills as you progress through the lesson. You will be asked at designated points during the class to apply the knowledge you’ve learned through interactive activities and possibly be given opportunities to share your work with the instructor and other workshop attendees.

You must reserve a space via the reservation forms linked on this page. Spaces are limited.

The main requirement is that you have access to a reliable internet connection and device to view the webinar during the scheduled time. If you’d like to participate in the interactive learning experience during our workshops, you will also need a webcam and mic.

At this time we do not have plans to circulate recordings of workshop and webinar material. We encourage you to attend the classes and enjoy the live interactive learning experience along with your fellow colleagues.
